Queen's Park is a beautiful local park with lovely gardens as well as an outstanding range of leisure facilities, including: a putting green, tennis courts, cricket, rugby and football pitches, a childrens playground, a superb bowling green, and even a croquet lawn.
The park lies, on the hill, between the churches of St Lawrence and St Mary, and the shops of the High Street.
Among the buildings to be found in the park, are the distinctive clocktower and the old ambulance station.
The children's playground was part funded by the local "Play Safely" campaign and includes many modern safety features.
