A friendly Bible based church community
by Tony Thomas
on December 3, 2011
Oakhall has outgrown its original home at Francis Road and currently holds its Sunday morning service (11 am) in the main hall at De Stafford School. The Sunday evening service (6.30) and other events during the week are generally held at its Frances Road building.

Its membership, of approximately 300, is drawn from a broad section of the local community and across all age ranges. On Sunday morning there are activities for children of all ages and there is an active youth group providing friendly activities for teenagers and young adults on Sunday evenings and at other times during the week.

The Sunday morning service is friendly and informal with songs of praise, both traditional and modern and good quality, bible based sermons. After the service members and visitors are encouraged to stay and chat together over tea and coffee.

I first visited Oakhall some four years ago and was quickly made to feel welcome and included and I am sure that others have experienced the same friendly welcome.
